BLOGGING IN BEIJING #6: Eating at McDonald's

Although I internally vowed not to eat American food while in China, I broke that vow with joy.  On Wednesday, March 4, I chowed down at the most American place I could find:  McDonald’s!

For 20 RMB ($3.00) I bought the “Big” Breakfast Platter, which includes eggs, biscuit, sausage, hashbrown, and cup of coffee.  (For an extra 6.50 RMB ($1.00), I could have purchased a cup of corn.  Today, I decided against it.)  But just like in the states, the portion was VERY small.  Although I didn’t eat at McDonald’s very much while in the States, it seemed like it tasted better than any McDonald’s I had ever had before.  But then again, maybe it was because I miss American food a little.

Learning Chinese is tough.  However, I found a language even tougher.  If you can translate what they are saying in the video below, feel free to add write your interpretation into the comments section of the blog.
